Pharmacological action: Amitraz is a broad-spectrum acaricide and insecticide effective against ticks, mites, flies, and lice. Its primary action is contact toxicity, supplemented by stomach and respiratory toxicity. The insecticidal action is linked to the inhibition of monoamine oxidase, which affects the nervous system of parasites. Amitraz induces over-excitation in blood-sucking arthropods, causing them to lose their grip and fall off the host animal.

Efficacy: This product delivers a steady insecticidal effect, typically causing lice and ticks to fall off within 24 hours, and mites within 48 hours. A single administration can provide protection for 6-8 weeks, safeguarding animals from ectoparasite re-invasion. It is also highly effective against Varroa mites and Tropilaelaps clareae.
