Pharmacological action:
Amitra, as a broad-spectrum cermifuge, has good effect on acarid, tick, fly, and louse etc. Its action is mainly contact toxicity, together with stomach toxicity and intake toxicity. To some extent, its insecticidal action is related with its inhibition on the monoamine oxidase, metabolic enzymes participating in the amine neurotransmitters of the nervous system in ticks and acarids.

The effect causes superexcitation in Blood-sucking arthropod insects, leading them to lose their grip on animal surfaces and fall off. This product produces its insecticidal effect gradually, typically causing parasites to fall off within 24-48 hours. One dose can provide protection for 6-8 weeks, effectively safeguarding animals from ectoparasites. It also demonstrates excellent efficacy against Varroa mites and Tropilaelaps clareae.
