Pharmacological action:

Amitraz, as a broad-spectrum vermifuge, has a significant effect on acarids, ticks, flies, and lice. Its action is primarily contact toxicity, combined with stomach and intake toxicity. Its insecticidal action is related to its inhibition of monoamine oxidase, which are metabolic enzymes involving amine neurotransmitters in the nervous systems of ticks and acarids.

Amitraz causes superexcitation in blood-sucking arthropod insects, leading them to lose their grip on the animal's surface and fall off. This product produces its insecticidal effect gradually. Typically, lice and ticks fall off within 24 hours of administration, and acarids within 48 hours. A single dose can provide protection for 6-8 weeks, shielding the animal from ectoparasite invasion. Additionally, it is highly effective against Varroa mites and Tropilaelaps clareae.
