Product Description

Heparin Lithium
Heparin lithium is a commonly used blood anticoagulant, widely used in clinical testing. Its mechanism of action is that heparin can bind to antithrombin III, significantly accelerating its inactivation of serine proteases such as thrombin, thereby blocking the coagulation cascade reaction and effectively preventing blood clotting.

It is usually used in conjunction with inert separation gel in vacuum blood collection tubes. After centrifugation, the separation gel forms a physical barrier between serum/plasma and blood cells, achieving rapid separation. This plasma sample can be directly used for instrument detection and remains stable for 48 hours under refrigeration.

Product Advantages

Heparin lithium is the preferred anticoagulant for blood ion detection due to its unique chemical inertness. It achieves anticoagulation by activating antithrombin and exists as a non-detectable lithium salt. Unlike EDTA or heparin sodium, it does not interfere with key ions like potassium, sodium, and calcium, ensuring the most accurate representation of true blood ion concentrations.

Applications

Emergency Biochemistry & Electrolytes: Detects potassium, sodium, chloride, and calcium ions with high precision.
Plasma Biochemistry: Suitable for liver function, kidney function, blood glucose, and myocardial enzyme spectrum.
Blood Gas Analysis: A common additive due to rapid liquid anticoagulation and zero impact on acid-base balance.
Note: Not suitable for blood routine counts or white blood cell classification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary uses of Heparin Lithium?
It is mainly used as an anticoagulant for blood collection tubes, specifically for electrolyte testing, emergency biochemistry, and blood gas analysis.
What is the delivery time for orders?
Delivery depends on inventory status. If stock is available, shipment is generally arranged on the same day the order is placed.
How should the product be stored?
The product should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. It has a validity period of 3 years.
What are the recommended transportation methods?
For low quantity and high value, air freight or international express is recommended. For large quantities, sea or land transportation is more cost-effective.
What are the regular packaging options available?
Standard packaging includes 10g or 50g per bottle, and larger bulk options such as 20kg or 25kg per barrel.
What payment methods are accepted?
Commonly accepted payment methods include T/T (Telegraphic Transfer), L/C (Letter of Credit), and other standard international trade terms.
