Appearance: This product is a white or off-white tablet.
Pharmacological Action: Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole class of anthelmintic. Its mechanism of action is to bind to the microtubule proteins of nematodes to exert its anthelmintic effect. It is highly effective against various nematodes (adult and larval stages) and tapeworms.
Actions and Uses: Anthelmintic. Used for nematode and tapeworm infections in livestock and poultry.
Dosage and Administration: Oral administration. Single dose per 10 kg body weight: Horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs: 0.5–0.75 tablets; poultry: 1–5 tablets; dogs and cats: 2.5–5 tablets, for 3 consecutive days.
Adverse Reactions: Generally no adverse reactions occur. Allergic reactions may occur due to the release of antigens from dead parasites. Vomiting may occasionally occur in large animals or cats.
Precautions: (1) Do not use on horses intended for consumption. (2) Contraindicated in early pregnancy due to potential teratogenic and hepatotoxic effects.
Withdrawal Period: Cattle and sheep: 21 days; Pigs: 3 days; Poultry: 28 days; Milk: 7 days; Eggs: 7 days.
