Detailed Description: Wood fragrance (Aucklandia lappa Decne) consists of dried roots harvested during autumn and winter. The process involves removing sediment and roots, cutting into sections, and longitudinally splitting larger pieces before drying and removing the rough skin.

The product appears cylindrical or semi-cylindrical, 5 ~ 10cm long, and 0.5 ~ 5cm in diameter. The surface is yellowish brown to grayish brown, characterized by obvious wrinkles, longitudinal grooves, and lateral root marks. It is firm in texture with a section ranging from grayish brown to dark brown. It possesses a special smell and a slightly bitter taste.
