Ceftiofur 10% Injection
Ceftiofur 10% Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic specifically developed for veterinary use. It contains ceftiofur hydrochloride at a concentration of 100 mg/mL in a sterile, ready-to-use suspension formulation.
It exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria, including β-lactamase-producing strains. It is indicated for treating respiratory diseases, foot rot, mastitis, and other bacterial infections in livestock and domestic animals.
Route: Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC) injection only.

⚠️ Adverse Reactions: Allergic reactions (rash, fever), local swelling at injection site, or gastrointestinal upset (decreased appetite/diarrhea).
🚫 Absolute Taboos: Prohibited in animals allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins. Prohibited in poultry during the egg-laying period.
⚙️ Compatibility: Avoid mixing with aminoglycosides (like gentamicin) or strong diuretics (like furosemide) due to increased nephrotoxicity risk.
